VEHICLES & DRIVER / GUIDES

The company owns its own fleet of vehicles which consists of 10 Extended Land cruisers, 4 Standard Land cruisers, a 16 seater bus and a luggage van.

An Extended Land Cruiser with 7 window seats.

A Standard Land cruiser with 5 window seats.

A Transport Manager, foreman and three experienced mechanics form our maintenance crew.  They go through a 30 point check list after every safari to ensure that every vehicle is maintained in top condition.

The vehicles are specially modified for safaris and have a pop-up
roof and sliding windows offering unrestricted wildlife viewing and
photography.  They are equipped with HF radios, and carry a cool box, first aid
kit, road map and field guides to the mammals, birds & plants of East Africa.

The vehicles are driven by uniformed driver guides who do not smoke. They are courteous, knowledgeable, careful and speak English. They have a minimum of five years experience, and in addition have had formal training.

Our driver/guides are the main element that "make" a safari.  They are born in Tanzania and harbor a deep sense of love and respect for this beautiful country. They take great pride in sharing their heritage with their guests who arrive as visitors but always leave as friends.
