Grumeti River Camp

In the untouched seclusion of a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti, this splendid tented camp overlooks a bywater of the Grumeti River.  The whimsical sweep of flamboyant tents under thatch and the vibrancy of kente cloth and local sculptured furnishings bring alive the excitement and romance of Africa.  Each of the 10 spacious twin-bedded tents, complete with en-suite bathrooms (comprising shower, sculptured basin and w/c), lies along the banks of the river and hippo pools.  The ragged thatch canopy lends coolness and solidity to these
fantastical tents whilst still affording the thrill of the tented safari after retiring at the end of a starlit banquet, where stories were shared of the day's game sightings and guests' wide-eyed experience of the exhilaration of wild Africa.
