RUAHA RIVER LODGE

The Ruaha River Lodge overlooks the Great Ruaha River in the Ruaha National Park. The lodge blends into its natural surroundings to enable visitors to feel themselves part of the wild.

Accommodation bandas, built from local stone and thatch, provide the perfect setting in which to relax between bush excursions. From the seclusion of your verandah you can watch wild animals as they descend from the hills to quench their thirst and nibble on the green grass.

The dining bandas and bars, in elevated positions above the river, combine comfort and coolness with unrivalled panoramic views

The delicious food, made from the produce of our highland farm, competes with the distractions of the spectacular scenary.

Game-drives through the Park, using one of our specially adapted vehicles, will take you into unfrequent wildlife territory. Refreshing cold drinks and picnics can be enjoyed in scenic surroundings.

Alternatively, short walking safaris, led by an experieced guide, give you the opportunity to "touch the wild". The views have been described as "the finest of any wildlife lodge or camp in Africa".
