THE ARUSHA HOTEL

First built in 1927 by Kenyon Painter, an American coffee farmer, and located in the central shopping and business area of Arusha Town ‘The Arusha’ hotel has been home to many travelers on their journey from Cape to Cairo. ‘The Arusha’, formerly known as the New Arusha Hotel, having recently undergone an extensive renovation and refurbishment program is now considered to be of 5* quality. Set in tropical landscaped gardens – home to many exotic plants, it has all the amenities and luxury for the discerning traveler.

The Arusha has 65 rooms including 2 suites, 6 deluxe rooms, 34 executive rooms and 23 twins. Elegantly furnished, en-suite bathrooms equipped with bathroom amenities and tea and coffee making facilities for the ‘early risers’. Each room is fitted with satellite television with a selection of channels, hair dryer and an electronic safe large enough to fit the average size laptops. For the business traveler, all rooms have direct dial phones and Internet access.

Buffet style breakfast and dinners of modern cuisine is prepared from the freshest produce. 

The dining experience would be incomplete without aromatic coffees, mouth watering home made desserts followed by warm cognacs and brandy’s in ‘Hataris’.

The Arusha has 3 function rooms that include:- Jumuika Conference room, fully equipped and capable to handle 100 pax or perhaps the classically furnished Kikao Executive board room with 16 leather back chairs would be more suitable. And last but not least Porinis, a multi-function room that opens out onto the terrace. Capable of handling upto 300 people. For outside functions there is 3 acres of sprawling lush tropical landscaped gardens. A perfect location to host larger numbers of guests for banqueting, parties and receptions.
